Operating since 2014 and officially receiving 501(c)(3) status in 2022, Ballerinas of the Bayou (BOTB) dba The Wellness Collective powered by Ballerina's of the Bayou is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the youth of New Orleans, Louisiana. Our mission is grounded in the belief that arts, education, and wellness can collectively catalyze positive youth development. We aim to nurture talents, boost self-esteem, and provide a platform for young people to express their thoughts and emotions through artistic mediums.
Over the Past Five Years we have reached over 300 youth in the New Orleans Metropolitan area and have annually engaged more than 45 youth in our rolling programming.

We offer a wide range of monthly performance arts programs, including Dance, Mardi Gras Indian beading, African drumming, Anti- Bullying kickboxing, Theater, Visual art, Vocal and Instrumental music, Reading club, and S.T.E.A.M initiatives. Youth in our programming have been afforded the opportunity to perform on professional platforms, train with pre- professional and professional performance artists. Learn workforce development, build entrepreneurial skill sets and create a lane within their passion that sometimes never knew existed.

We have also identified and addressed critical challenges such as limited access to quality education, reduced opportunities for creative exploration, food insecurity, and overall well-being.

We provide all of these initiatives to ensure the whole child is being developed through creative experiences.
